Background & Motivations
We aim to make home climbing walls a realistic and affordable possibility for everyone. Climbing is a communal sport and we're on a mission to reduce cost of indoor climbing to make it a reality for as many people as possible.
Climbing provides a fun and engaging way for the whole family to stay active. Adults can enjoy a workout that is an ever evolving challenge while staying indoors and not needing a gym membership. Kids especially love it and will love showing off to their friends. Also, it is a great way for them to release some energy in an exploratory, yet safe manner.
We want to make it approachable for people without prior climbing or home project experience. Our goal is to empower individuals to build their own climbing walls, making fitness accessible and enjoyable at home.
The Problem
There are limited resources available for creating inexpensive beginner climbing walls at home. Most existing guides showcase extravagant setups with sloped walls and incorporated volumes. While we absolutely love these designs and wish it were affordable for everyone, unfortunately that's not the case. This complexity and cost deter potential climbers (or those exploring) from attempting DIY projects.
We have set out to provide a simplified, budget-friendly, safe, and modular wall design.
Our Solution
Safety is our top priority—ensuring that the wall is well-mounted and secured is vital. We designed a simple, modular climbing wall that can scale horizontally or vertically, making it adaptable to any space. This approach keeps initial costs low while allowing for future expansion as your skills and needs grow.
We are excited for people to use this design and share the climbing experience with their families and friends. By making home climbing walls accessible and safe, we hope to inspire more people to incorporate climbing into their fitness routines. The modular design means you can start small and expand as you become more confident and skilled, creating a climbing wall that grows with you. We can't wait to see how our community embraces this project and makes climbing a part of their everyday lives.
